Decision Support Systems.
Nikolaos Matsatsinis is professor of Information and Decision Support Systems in the School of Production Engineering and Management of the Technical University of Crete, Greece. He is Director of Decision Support Systems Lab and former President of the Hellenic Operational Research Society (HELORS) from 2009-2012.
He received his B.A. in Physics from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (1980) and his PhD in Intelligent Multicriteria Decision Support Systems for Marketing Decisions from Technical University of Crete (1995).
He also has over thirty years of experience in Information and Decision Systems development. He has contribute as scientific or project coordinator on over of forty eight national and international projects. He is chief editor in two international scientific journals and member of the international advisory board of three scientific journals. He is the author or co-author of seventeen books and over of ninety articles in international scientific journals and books. He has over of one hundred and sixty presentations in international and national scientific conferences.
Prof. Matsatsinis is member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE); member of the American Association for Artificial Intelligence (AAAI); Member of IFIP, CEPIS; International Consortium for Electronic Business; member of IFORMS, EURO, HELORS, International Society on Multiple Criteria Making, Euro Working Group on Multicriteria Decision Aid; Euro Working Group on Decision Support Systems; European Federation for Information Technology in Agriculture, Food and the Environment – EFITA.
